Easter Fireworks at the Port of Echuca is creating a festive occasion that brings the local community and visitors together to enjoy a spectacle of light and sound.
The stunning fireworks display, viewed from the iconic landmark along the Murray River, will bring together people of all ages and provide a memorable experience for families and friends celebrating the Easter holiday.
Family friendly fun by the river
Through the public holiday weekend, there will numerous family friendly activities, including a visit from the Easter bunny, live entertainment, and displays of historic equipment.
The James Hollands Band will set the tone with music on the Echuca Wharf
on Easter Sunday from 3pm-7pm.
Musicians from Moama Grammar will be in rhythm with a drumline performance
prior to the fireworks at 8pm.
You can also enjoy a selection of beverages from the licensed bar
on The Historic Echuca Wharf on Easter Sunday.
Lovers of history and mechanics can marvel at the permanent steam shed display at the Port of Echuca.
On Easter Saturday and Sunday, it will be accompanied by members of the Echuca Vintage Machinery Club. You can original working steam engines and pumps and meet the engineers who operate them.
Model boats – an ode to river life
The Rob Dingey model boat display is open all weekend in the Atelier building. It includes miniature replicas of historic paddle steamers, crafted with intricate detail.
These model boats demonstrate the engineering marvel of paddle steamers. Many of the models are operational and can move on water, along with static displays for admiration and educational purposes. This display is especially those interested in maritime history and engineering, The models offer a glimpse into the past and an appreciation for the craftsmanship.
