The Port of Echuca is situated in the historic port on the Mighty River Murray and is one of Victoria's top tourist destinations. The Port of Echuca offers a great sense of history for any visitor with the historic Echuca Wharf built in 1865 as the boarding point for your special occasion. We offer a unique environment for private and corporate entertainment. Our vessels, P.S. Pevensey, P.S. Alexander Arbuthnot and P.S. Adelaide, are authentic steamers, maintained and operated exactly as they were in the hey-day of the river trade. There is an incredible sense of history your guests can experience on these gentle giants. The Murray River sets a picturesque background. Our boats are certainly an ideal setting for any occasion. We cater for functions with up to 150 guests. If there is a special occasion you are planning we will be only too happy to assist.

Wedding Ceremonies Recommended Time: 2 Hours Journey thirty minutes downstream to a peaceful location. The traditional Bride appears from her cabin as the Paddlesteamer pulls into a point along the river where your wedding ceremony will take place. Enjoy the remaining time cruising the Murray River while celebrating with your guests.

Functions Pre Dinner Drinks Recommended Time: 1 Hour An evening cruise as you journey along the Murray River. Many restaurants are located close by to the historic port making it easy for guests to take a short walk to your choice of restaurant for a formal meal.

Barbeque Lunch/Dinner Recommended Time: 4 hours A great way to enjoy a relaxed lunch or dinner while cruising the Murray River. Depart Echuca Wharf as the sun sets behind the red gums. You are served a glass of wine as you plough along this great water way while taking in the fantastic views and the aromas of the succulent barbeque being prepared. As evening rolls on the band entertains your guests.

Echuca Wharf A unique and poplar venue for wedding ceremonies is Echuca's redgum wharf overlooking the Murray River. THe hire of the Echuca Wharf for a Wedding Ceremony allows the Bridal Party and theguests access onto the Wharf for the duration of the hired period. We also allow you 15 minutes prior ro the hire period for the arrival of the groom and guests. A wedding ceremony includes the arrangement of bench seats, a carpet asle, a table to sign the register and use of a PA sound system. Catering The Port of Echuca has preferred caterers or you are welcome to use your own caterer. Drinks The Port of Echuca can supply you with a list of businesses who will provide beverages on a consumption basis or you can choose to BYO.
